Teeth Whitening

Teeth whitening with laser is used to treat stains and yellowing of teeth caused by smoking, drinking coffee, or other causes. It is one of the most common and fastest teeth whitening procedures.

Teeth whitening with laser is a process that uses whitening materials that are placed on the surface of the teeth and the laser is applied to them to activate the materials to restore the shine and whiteness of the teeth.

Teeth whitening with laser is used in the case of:

  • Yellowing of teeth.
  • The presence of stains on the teeth.
  • The desire to lighten the color of the teeth.

Teeth whitening is not an ideal solution for people who have problems with their front teeth, unhealthy gums, or sensitivity to the materials used in whitening procedures.

The procedures for teeth whitening with laser are as follows:

  • The doctor first checks for the presence of tartar deposits on the teeth.
  • Then the doctor starts by determining the color of the patient's teeth according to the tooth guide available in the clinics.
  • Then the doctor starts by applying whitening materials to the teeth and shining the laser on them. This takes place in one session lasting between one and one and a half hours.

After the end of the teeth whitening session, the patient may sometimes feel slight pain in the teeth, which disappears within 24 hours at most.

There are some instructions that the patient should follow for at least three days after teeth whitening with a laser to maintain the result:

  • Avoid colored foods and drinks such as (coffee, tea, carbonated drinks).
  • Keep using a toothbrush and dental floss.
  • To preserve the color and its continuation, it is advisable to reduce smoking as it is one of the most common causes of
  • yellowing.
